Chicago Powerstrikers Soccer Club
Who we are
The Chicago Powerstrikers is a competitive youth travel soccer club, with boys and girls teams participating in the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL) and the Young Sportsmen's Soccer League (YSSL). For the 2024-25 playing season, the club has girls teams for the 2006 and 2010 birth years, and boys teams for the 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2015 birth years, but opportunities are always available to form additional teams. In order to provide additional playing opportunities, the girls teams are part of a club alliance in IWSL with Chicago Futbal Alliance, and boys teams are allied with FC Stars in YSSL.
Chicago-based
We train and play our home games at Northeastern Illinois University, and draw players from the diverse northwest side neighborhoods of Chicago and nearby suburbs.
Parent-operated
Our club was launched nearly 20 years ago by parents with a passion for soccer and player development. It has grown since then, with new teams formed by parents who obtained coaching licenses through US Soccer and worked under the guidance of experienced club staff. Throughout this time, the club has consistently developed teams and players that compete at some of the top levels of youth soccer in Illinois.
Our mission
To teach our players to love the game of soccer through positive and dedicated instruction and to give them the skills they need to play in high school and beyond.
Our vision
We are an organization of parent volunteers dedicated to the athletic and social development of our children through the game of soccer.
If you share this passion for soccer, and our club philosophy for player development, we welcome your interest to join the Powerstrikers family!
